A comparison between Charles the First, commonly called the
Martyr, and George the Third, without the grace of God, King
of Great-Britain, &c.
The King who acts on principles divine,
Of mercy, justice, and the public good,
Merits the name od Sacred Majesty!
But he, who scorns a nation's just appeal,
And dips his sceptre in his subjects blood,
Deserves reproach, no language can invent,
To join the name of Tyrant. [signed] Anonymous.
